What People Are Saying

“Regardless of your level of cycling, the importance of a correct bike-fit cannot be overstated. It is the vital link between the technology of the bicycles we ride today and the individual. Without it, the bike and rider are not in unison, and problems occur. Incorrect bike-fit is one of the most common causes of injury in cyclists, and the reason I ask every patient 'who did your set-up?'. I've known and worked with Stewart for nearly 10 years. His knowledge and experience in biomechanics of the bike and rider are second to none. Stewart has solved issues my hands haven't, and he's shown me that when treating cyclists, proper bike-fit comes before all else.”

— Andy Gerrans, Osteopath Mitchelton Scott Cycling

After many years of racing professionally with several team and equipment changes along the way, Stewart has been a fantastic help. Stewart has been able to assist me duplicate my riding position when changing equipment and also offer me some valuable advice. It is fantastic to have someone of Stewart’s experience and expertise on hand in Melbourne that I can call on a regular basis.

— Simon Gerrans, Former Professional Cyclist

We’ve raced across Australia, America and Europe. More than once! Stewart has been able to help me through some of the most challenging rides and make them easy. 350-400kms a day on a bike is made so much more comfortable after seeing Stewart. He’s that good. Working with you specifically on things like how your body interacts with your bike, how the muscles fire or don’t! ...your flexibility, your injury history and even your hopes and dreams! Some people spend a small fortune on a bike that doesn’t fit, or isn’t right for them. You’d save a lot if you started with the perfect fit, to match the perfect bike and not the other way round. Thanks for your passion and skill Stewart. I hope to adventure more and keep getting dialled in with my new bikes.

— Ryan “Rhino” Flinn, Bike Packing Adventurer

“Saw Stewart a few months ago after some time off the bike while I was recovering from an accident. I was struggling with a few issues - lower back pain, numbness, saddle sores, wrist pain - you name it. He took time to take in all my various issues, assessed my injuries and made some adjustments to my cleats, saddle height and position. He recommended a new saddle which we swapped over and honestly, a few months down the line it’s transformed the way I ride. I can happily ride for 5-6 hours now with no issues other than my own fitness to worry about. Well worth the investment and he’s very easy to chat to. Puts you at ease straight away and really listens to the feedback. I’d recommend Stewart to anyone who’s interested in getting the most out of their riding without discomfort - especially after purchasing a new bike.

— John Angless

Stewart has a very logical approach to the entire process, he is very knowledgeable and extremely thorough. Stewart's wealth of knowledge puts him at the leading edge of his trade.
The changes he made has transformed my comfort on the bike.

— Mark Trouson

“In cycling sport every detail counts, it is not just about training, it is also about nutrition, rest and efficiency... you can push your pedals strong, but it is not enough if you are not efficient. That was why I met Stewart, he totally changed my bike position and if I am honest I have changed very little since.  I feel that now I can push more power, but Stewart also helped me to find the balance between power and being in a comfortable position.”

— Carlos Verona, Movistar Cycling

Stewart did my first setup in 2013 when he did the fitting for the NZ Triathlon team. He had a great understanding of not only a great cycling setup but also had a really great understanding as to what is needed for a triathlon style fit. Once I had my fit I felt more comfortable and had no little niggles or pains on those long rides. Stewart was also great fun during the fit which can sometimes take 2hrs +. I would totally recommend a fit from Stewart, you will see and feel the benefits.

— Ryan Sissons, Professional Triathlete

“Working with Stewart has been a pleasure - after several fits over the years, it's refreshing to have a fitter that properly understands the relationship between body and bike. Stewart's patience, guidance and professionalism is to be commended, and I will be back to adjust my fit as the years go on. You wouldn't buy an expensive formal suit or dress without getting it tailored, and your bike is no different - there is no "one size fits all", and even slight discomfort whilst cycling can lead to further issues down the road (pardon the pun ). Whether you're a competitive or recreational rider, Stewart will ensure you are fitted to your bike correctly, to enjoy a lifetime of injury free cycling.”

— Wayne Dalli

“I have been using Stewart for my bike fits over a long period of time - originally when he was at Beasley Cycles before his time overseas and more recently over the past 2 years. He has fitted me to at least 6 or 7 bikes - each time the fit has been bang on and the investment well worth it. He provides excellent analysis on any issues to do with flexibility, right/left imbalances, pronation issues affecting how your knees and ankles track to name just a few aspects to the fit. I couldn't be happier with his service and highly recommend what he does.

— Stuart Weir

“Saw Stewart earlier this year prior to heading to Italy and the Dolomites. The adjustments he made to the bike, and my position on it, made such a difference to my comfort and endurance and so, ultimately, my enjoyment of the journey. I can really recommend him...careful, considered, personalised service. And he listens.
Thanks again Stewart.

— Peter Boyle

Stewart's passion and attention to detail when it comes to bike fitting is in a class of its own. When I had injuries Stewart helped me get back on track. I can't recommend Stewart enough to anyone wanting a professional bike fit with friendly service.

— Tim Roe, Former Professional Cyclist

“I had the pleasure to meet Stewart at a Specialized New Zealand Camp late 2014. I had a lot of things then that has been changed and adjusted to get as comfortable as possible putting out the most sustained power. He guided me through the first and last bike fit I have had to date and a year later I have the exact set up. I was quietly a little skeptical of bike fitting but I have to say,  it was a huge step for me and I have Stewart to thank for his help getting me completely dialed.”

— Sam Gaze, Professional Mountain Biker

“I just had my fit with Stewart and he is a legend! Was within the Bastion factory so that was cool but Stewart was so knowledgeable and has helped my bike setup so much! I’ve hammered my body playing contact sports and a few road crashes. I’ve had a few fits in the past from others to help and have walked away unsure about the results and didn’t find them rewarding. I walked out of Stewart’s session so excited and finally comfortable and I can’t wait to get stuck into some longer kms. Thanks again mate. Highly recommend.”

— Michael Nowlan

“Took up Stewart's bike fit after recommendation from two other friends at the end of Jan 2017. The consultation was very in depth and thorough. The outcome has been amazing as I have not experienced any bike related soreness that I was having previously. Highly recommend to any cyclist looking to get the most out of their cycling.”

— Daniel Ward

“Great fitting! Really enjoyable session and some of the adjustments made were actually opposite what I had thought would be needed, but it really seems to have worked. Not only is my position on the bike more comfortable but my power delivery seems better.

— John Wilkins

Stewart has helped me on a few occasions and will again in the future. His help in choosing the correct saddle for my TT bike was remarkable! I didn’t think it was possible to find a saddle without purchasing several to try but after a few questions Stewart knew exactly what would work for me. Stewart fit both my road bike and TT bike and the result is comfort and power all the way! Thanks Stewart!
